Very occasionally I missed a variable focal length, but never so much that I regretted taking just the one camera - in fact I was glad I was not worrying about my gear - this was after all out first grown up trip for more than three years, so photography was not high on my priority list.

Venice with the X100
A short break with Mrs Jones, our first away since the birth of our son in 2009. I made a conscious decision to only take the X100 with me - it was the first real opportunity to use the camera in anger. Normally I would have had a compact (E-P1 or LX3) as well as the Canon 40D and a couple of lenses.
Very occasionally I missed a variable focal length, but never so much that I regretted taking just the one camera - in fact I was glad I was not worrying about my gear - this was after all out first grown up trip for more than three years, so photography was not high on my priority list.
